Royal Ascot were seeking an experienced event florist to create some outstanding and eye-catching corporate flower arrangements. The objective was to transform the interior of their summer house. As Britain's most valuable race meeting, Royal Ascot required an acclaimed florist for events to transform their hospitality space for the upcoming 2022 races.
THE BRIEF
With this environment already filled with beautiful décor, Royal Ascot entrusted us to bring some unique floral designs into their hospitality space.
Drawing inspiration from the historic racecourse, our team began designing an installation to be the main feature of the space and turn the heads of every visitor. We also considered the colours used for all arrangements to fit within the spaces perfectly.
INSPIRATIONS
The client also provided our team with mood boards that contained pictures of what Royal Ascot imagined for their floral installations. Carefully studying the colours and textures used in each picture, they took into consideration how to bring all these points into the final product.
CONCEPTS
With the shape of the main design already agreed upon, we created a list of ideal stems we could use to obtain the desired effect with different colour options. These stems included Light Blue Roses, Green Ruscus, Lilac Asparagus Fern, and Purple Limonium.
We also considered the stems we would use in each vase arrangement. It was important for each of these arrangements to be the perfect balance between nature and bright bursts of colour.
OUR FLORAL DESIGNS
The main installation we created was a handsome horse-shaped floral composition. We used a variety of green stems, such as Ruscus, Ivy, Steal Grass, and Fern. The combination of these stems created a very natural look, reminiscent of the racecourse the hospitality area overlooks. Adding Light Blue Roses and Purple Limonium down the mane also provided some colour that became even more striking compared to the neutral greens. We also brought a similar colour scheme to the completed vase arrangements that feature throughout the Summer House.
