Fairmont Windsor Park is not a hotel that needs dressing up. It is a building with presence, history and its own sense of occasion. This year, we had the privilege of bringing Christmas to life across the entire estate – from the sweeping grounds to the spa and wellness areas, every corner dressed for the season.

Fairmont Windsor Park is not a blank canvas. It is a hotel with soul – grand architecture, signature rooms, and a sense of occasion that runs through every space. Our approach to Christmas dressing at Fairmont was always going to be rooted in that heritage.

We began, as we always do, with the space itself. What does this building want to say at Christmas? The answer was clear: traditional, majestic, and deeply considered. No contemporary twists. No unexpected palettes. Just Christmas at its most timeless and most grand.

At Fairmont Windsor Park, every space received its own considered festive identity, connected by a thread of quality and intention but entirely individual in character. Guests were welcomed by a majestic 48-foot tree illuminating the grounds before stepping inside to a grand statement lobby tree dressed in rich red and gold, with traditional garlands drawing them through the full length of the corridors. Further into the estate, dramatic structural fireplace garlands complemented the Library Club's rich dark woods and leather, creating warmth and intimacy in equal measure, whilst at Il Giardino at 1215, gold and silver wreaths added refined festive elegance to this intimate dining space. This was a complete Christmas transformation, where every room told its own story and no two spaces felt the same.

At Amaranté, the Christmas flowers, foliage and decorative details are never an afterthought. At Fairmont Windsor Park, every detail was chosen with the same intention as the spaces they inhabited. In the Tea Parlour, blush pink bows and statement pink flower baubles were designed in direct conversation with the room's breathtaking orchid-inspired wallpaper, creating something that felt less like Christmas dressing and more like the room coming fully into bloom. In the Spa, we moved away from traditional festive decor, weaving cinnamon, dried apples and oranges with warm golden tones to create an atmosphere that was sensory, calming and completely true to the spirit of the space.

There is a real skill to delivering traditional Christmas dressing at this scale without it feeling repetitive or heavy-handed. The key is variety within consistency, shifting the scale, texture and composition of each installation while holding the same mood and story throughout.
